Built for players. Made with purpose.
Welcome to Thunderbird Guitar Works — a guitar based service ship in Charleston, WV. We offer guitar electronic repair services, such as pickup replacement, full wiring upgrade jobs and more.
Our online shop also offers reclaimed and new parts for DIY builds.
Why We Started
The best guitars are rarely just pulled from a box and forgotten. They develop character through the parts chosen, the work put into them, the songs played on them, and the people behind them.
Thunder Guitar Works grew from a genuine appreciation for guitar design, customization, and the satisfaction of making an instrument better with your own hands. We know that a new pickup, bridge, neck, set of tuners, custom decal, or small hardware upgrade can completely change how a guitar looks, sounds, and feels.
That is why we focus on useful, distinctive gear—not just more gear.

Our Approach
We believe a good guitar shop should be practical, honest, and easy to work with.
Every item we offer is chosen with real musicians and hands-on builders in mind. We value solid materials, useful specifications, clear product descriptions, and the little details that matter once the part is actually on a guitar.
If you are working on your first modification or your fiftieth build, you are welcome here. The goal is simple: help you create an instrument you are proud to play.
Thank You for Supporting a Small Shop

Thanks for stopping by. We hope you find something that helps bring your next guitar idea to life.
